 May

All points East – 10 days of music, food and entertainment

This festival is perfect for all lovers of the outdoors. Taking place in Victoria Park, it is returning after a successful launch last year. The opening and closing weekends are dedicated to music, with headliners such as The Chemical Brothers, The Strokes and Bring Me The Horizon. The four days in between (during the week) are free to enter for everyone and offer street food, comedy and film screenings, amongst other enjoyments.
Dates: May 24 – Jun 2
Prices: £163.95 for weekend, £65 for day tickets

June

Mighty Hoopla – An LGBT+ Highlight

This colourful festival takes place in Brockwell Park for the third time since its existence. If you are looking for something quiet, this certainly isn’t the place for you, but you can look forward to a day of cheerfulness with lots of glitter (obviously). It is pop only and you can expect some amazing classics such as Chaka Khan or All Saints, as well as lots of food and good drinks. As a one-day festival taking place on a Saturday it really is the perfect opportunity for some inexpensive Brixton fun!

July

British Summer Festival – simply legendary

This two-weekend festival in Hyde Park is one of the occasions you definitely shouldn’t miss. Even if you’re not a big fan of festivals, you should still consider going to see some of the most famous artists on the planet: The Line-up includes Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Florence and The Machine, and many more. There is food and drinks as well (of course) and you can also enjoy some theatre and comedy. It is a little expensive however, and tickets are only sold separately for each day.
Dates: Jul 5-7, Jul 13-14
Prices: approx. £89.75 per day in General Admission (prices vary per day)

August

Eastern Electrics – dancing all night

This one calls for all fans of electronic music. Enjoy two days of techno and bass in Morden Park, and dance your feet off if you can! Apart from several stages they also have a special treat: an actual pool party on-site! And the best thing about this festival: It really isn’t expensive at all.
Dates: Aug 3-4
Prices: £57.50 for the whole weekend or £45 for Saturday, £25 for Sunday

September

Hospitality in the Park – D&B lovers unite

If you still have enough dancing power left and looking for that last party before the end of summer, head to this festival in Finsbury Park. Organised by South London’s drum and bass label Hospital Records, they are giving d&b fans the time of their life during a one-day ode to hefty music. The line-up is not yet confirmed but it will surely be amazing.
Dates: Sep 21
Price: £tbc
